Poddium Public Domain Project
Literature
belongs to everyone.
A curated archive of public domain works, preserved, reformatted, and freely distributed for Indonesian and world readers.
We believe public domain works belong to everyone. So we built Librery to make them actually accessible.
Poddium Public Domain Project preserves, curates, and freely distributes intellectual works that belong to the public, with a focus on Indonesian literary heritage. The name Librery comes from "libre," a Spanish and French word for freedom. Because that is exactly what we believe reading should be.
Presented with love and dedication for Indonesian and world literature, by Poddium Foundation.
"Our music, our culture, our science and our economic welfare all depend on a delicate balance between those ideas that are controlled and those that are free."James Boyle, The Public Domain

Our Mission
Why we do this.
Great literature should not be locked away by time, bureaucracy, or price. Librery exists to return these works to the public they were always meant for, preserved with care, made readable for today, and distributed without barriers.
We identify, verify, and collect intellectual property that has entered the public domain, with particular focus on Indonesian literary heritage.
Classic texts are reformatted into clean, modern, accessible designs so that timeless ideas are enjoyable for today's readers.
Every work in our catalogue is free to read online, download, and share. No paywalls. No restrictions. Just access.

About
What is the public domain?
The public domain refers to all creative and intellectual works that are no longer, or were never, protected by exclusive copyright. They belong to everyone. Our project exists to make sure Indonesian readers can actually access theirs.

Macquarie University
In collaboration with Macquarie University's PACE (Professional and Community Engagement) program, we are researching the legal and practical aspects of public domain works, focusing on derivative works and international directory structures.
Key deliverables include a detailed report on IP rights for derivative works and recommendations for building a comprehensive Indonesian public domain directory.
